"Showed Great Love" - fine art print
"Then Jesus turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? When I came into your house, you gave me no water for my feet, but she washed my feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. You gave me no kiss of greeting, but she has been kissing my feet since I came in. You did not put oil on my head, but she poured perfume on my feet. I tell you that her many sins are forgiven, so she showed great love. But the person who is forgiven only a little will love only a little.”
Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” Luke 7: 44-48

The woman had heard of him, his teachings, his miracles, and his boundless compassion. Her heart was drawn to him like a caterpillar allured to the coming transformation.
With trembling hands and a heart heavy with adoration, she entered the room where Jesus reclined at a banquet table. Her eyes were filled with tears, the unspoken language of her soul, as she clutched in her hands a priceless alabaster box filled with the most exquisite perfume. This perfume was not merely an earthly luxury; it was a treasure that symbolized her deepest love and devotion.
Kneeling at the feet of the Savior, the woman began to weep. Her tears fell like rain, cascading onto the feet of the Messiah, and in that sacred moment, she felt an overwhelming sense of humility and gratitude. In a gesture of pure, unadulterated love, she broke the alabaster box and poured its precious contents over Jesus' feet. The room was instantly filled with the fragrance, an aroma so captivating it transcended the physical senses and reached deep into the soul, the fragrance of pure worship.
As the aroma filled the room, those present were taken back by the woman's audacious display of devotion. They whispered in judgment, questioning the extravagance of her gesture. But Jesus, in his infinite wisdom, turned to her with a gaze that penetrated the depths of her being. He understood the magnitude of her sacrifice, recognizing that it was not merely a material offering but a profound outpouring of love and surrender.
